From submission to published episode—here's what to expect when you share your story

Step 1: Submit Your Story

Fill out our online submission form with details about your department's work. We'll ask about the challenge you faced, the solution you implemented, and the impact it had. Don't worry about making it perfect—we're here to help shape your story!

What to include:

  • • Story topic and overview
  • • Challenge, solution, and impact details
  • • Guest recommendations from your team

Step 2: Review & Discussion

Our team reviews all submissions within 2-3 business days. If your story is selected, we'll reach out via email or phone to discuss the details, answer your questions, and start planning the episode together.

During this phase:

  • • We'll confirm guest participants
  • • Discuss key talking points
  • • Answer any questions or concerns
  • • Provide interview preparation tips

Step 3: Schedule Interview

We'll work with your schedule to find a convenient time for the podcast interview. Interviews typically last 30-45 minutes and can be conducted in person or virtually, depending on your preference and location.

  • • Format: In-person or virtual
  • • Hosts: Dennis & Jenn
  • • Conversational and comfortable atmosphere

Step 4: Record Episode

On recording day, relax and be yourself! We'll guide the conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and make sure your story shines. Our hosts create a warm, supportive environment where you can share authentically.

What to expect:

  • • Warm-up conversation before recording
  • • Guided questions from hosts
  • • Natural, conversational flow
  • • Opportunity to re-record if needed

Step 5: Production & Editing

After recording, our production team edits the episode for clarity and flow. We'll add intro/outro music, remove any awkward pauses, and ensure the final product sounds professional and polished.

Production timeline:

  • • Editing: 1-2 weeks after recording
  • • Review: You'll receive a preview before release
  • • Feedback: Opportunity to request changes
  • • Approval: Final sign-off before publishing

Step 6: Episode Release

Your episode goes live on Spotify and other podcast platforms! We'll notify you before release and provide promotional materials you can share with your team and on social media. Celebrate your department's story with the entire CAPLICO community!

After release:
